Psychopharmacology
Our Psychopharmacology Program offers medical management as a part of your overall treatment at MPC. In order to access these services, we require patient's to be in therapy with one of our clinicians. We believe collaboration is a key element to good care and look forward to offering a comprehensive treatment plan to our patients.
A psychiatric nurse practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse (RN) with advanced training to diagnose and treat psychiatric conditions, which may include prescribing of medication with the collaboration of a psychiatrist. An NP’s training also focuses on health of the whole person, apart from illness and disease, and the promotion of overall wellness.
While most people seeking services tend to look for long-term management of symptoms, others may opt to have a one- or two-time consult to see if medication is appropriate at all, or as a second opinion. Please go to "Our Team" to read more about Ryan and Andrea's training and specialties.
